Mei Ling Delmonte

Group Academic Director

Mei Ling is usually based in our Golders Green Branch although she also regularly comes into our other branches in central London. With an impressive background including a Delta (Cambridge), Cert TESOL (Trinity), and an LL.B. (Hons), Mei Ling brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. After practising law for several years, Mei Ling found her true passion in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL). She has since become an integral part of our school, guiding students and teachers to success. In addition to her role as Group Academic Director, Mei Ling is a beekeeper and recreational diver.  She’s also an avid reader, a film buff, and a gardening enthusiast. 

Daniel Studholme

Director of Studies

Daniel Studholme (DELTA) has been working in the EFL industry here and abroad since 2001. He is passionate about his home city (London) and everything it has to offer, yoga and meditation. He finds helping learners to gain confidence and better memory retention through reflection and meditation very rewarding, and it also helps him to communicate better with the many different people he meets. He is proud of the great team he has here at ABC and feels very lucky to be a part of this vibrant community in the heart of Covent Garden.

Bircan Ay

Assistant Director of Studies

A bit about Bircan:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature, Master’s in English, CELTA, and TESOL certified.
  • Experience: 12 years of teaching in both the USA and Turkey.

As Director of Studies, Bircan is dedicated to creating an engaging, student-centred learning environment that inspires a love for language and continuous growth. Outside the classroom, she enjoys practising yoga, reading, and travelling, bringing diverse perspectives to her teaching.

George Delmonte

Operations Manager

George is the Operations Manager at Golders Green College, GG Colleges, and ABC School, ensuring that each institution runs smoothly and effectively, fostering a productive and supportive environment for both students and staff. With over 15 years of experience in education and a background as a qualified English teacher, George offers valuable insights into the educational sector. He is currently furthering his knowledge by studying a degree in Building Surveying, and a course in Project Management, enhancing his ability to oversee educational facilities effectively. Outside of work, George is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying kickboxing, hiking, obstacle races, and football in his spare time.

Nozomi Ide

Registrar & Welfare Officer

Nozomi is a Welfare Officer at GG Colleges, where she supports both students’ well-being and the administration. With experience in international student support in Japan, Nozomi cherishes cultural diversity. Fluent in both Japanese and English, she also has experience in translation and teaching, helping students excel in their educational journey and achieve their full potential.

Gulum Ozhabes

Registrar & Welfare Officer

Gulum has lived in several countries before settling in London. With experience in Marketing and PR, she supports students with their social and personal adjustment processes, backed by certifications in psychology and human relations. Having lived in diverse cultures, she understands the challenges of adapting to a new environment and is dedicated to helping students feel like an integral part of the school community.
Fluent in Turkish and English, with conversational skills in several other languages, Gulum is passionate about fashion, travel, and psychology. She’s always here to assist students, but if you ever need style advice, don’t hesitate to ask—she’s open to all fashion questions!

Ariel Goodbody

Teacher

Ariel Goodbody is a storyteller and language nerd with a passion for inclusive education. Since 2019 he has been, writing and producing the podcast Easy Stories in English, where he tells stories for all levels of English learners, and this creative passion follows into the classroom. When not teaching, Ariel can be found doing stand-up, studying foreign languages, or with a mouth full of cake.

Suzi Behl

Aida Koochaki

Teacher

Aida is an English teacher, translator, and language enthusiast. She moved to London at Christmas in 2022 to study linguistics. Her mother tongue is Persian (Farsi), and she holds a master’s degree in teaching Persian. In Iran, she worked as an English teacher and translator, completing the translation of nine novels from English to Persian. She loves languages and is currently learning French. When she’s not reading or translating, she might be at the cinema, as she loves movies.

Bunmi

Teacher

Bunmi is a friendly and experienced English teacher from South West London. She’s taught both in London and abroad, bringing a global perspective to her lessons. She speaks in Spanish, Turkish, and Yoruba, Bunmi connects with students from all walks of life, helping them improve their English in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Emilia Stefaniak

Teacher

Emilia is a CELTA qualified teacher with over 6 years of experience in teaching English. She was born and raised in Poland which means she knows exactly what it takes to learn English from zero to complete fluency. Having a BA in Liberal Arts (King’s College London) and an MA in Theatre Studies, she uses different techniques (including drama) to make studying both effective and enjoyable. She is interested in brain friendly learning, yoga, hiking in nature, history and art. If money wasn’t an issue she would buy an ancient mansion and restore it to its original beauty.
