Course Overview

Our Portuguese program is designed to take learners from complete beginners to confident, culturally aware speakers—with an emphasis on real-life conversations, engaging role-plays, and cultural immersion at every level.

Whether you’re learning for travel, work, heritage, or pure curiosity, you’ll gain the practical language skills and cultural insight needed to navigate the Portuguese-speaking world.

From day one, you’ll speak, listen, read, and write Portuguese—while exploring the diverse cultures of Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, and more. As you move through the levels, you’ll deepen your fluency and broaden your cultural understanding.

Course Structure

Beginner (Levels 1–3)

Start speaking right away and build your foundation in a fun, supportive environment.

What you’ll cover:

  • Introductions, greetings, and polite conversation

  • Pronunciation and the Portuguese alphabet

  • Numbers, dates, time, and weather

  • Talking about family, friends, and daily routines

  • Ordering food, shopping, and asking for directions

  • Cultural etiquette: greetings, body language, and everyday customs

  • Grammar essentials: present tense verbs, gender, articles, questions

  • Writing: simple sentences, notes, short messages

Intermediate (Levels 4–6)

Build on your foundation and start expressing yourself with more depth and confidence.

What you’ll cover:

  • Describing past events and future plans

  • Making appointments, giving advice, and offering help

  • Talking about work, school, hobbies, and lifestyle

  • Navigating healthcare, travel, and city life

  • Understanding Brazilian vs. European Portuguese

  • Exploring cultural themes like Carnaval, music, festivals, and food

  • Grammar focus: irregular verbs, prepositions, past and future tenses

  • Writing: travel blogs, opinion pieces, short emails

Advanced (Levels 7–9)

Gain fluency and connect through meaningful conversation and deeper cultural awareness.

What you’ll cover:

  • Expressing opinions, debating, and telling complex stories

  • Engaging with news, media, and pop culture

  • Understanding idiomatic expressions and regional slang

  • Discussing literature, cinema, and music

  • Exploring Lusophone cultures in Africa and South America

  • Professional communication: job interviews, presentations, formal emails

  • Advanced grammar: subjunctive mood, conditional, passive voice

  • Writing: creative pieces, essays, social commentary
