Accommodation

Accommodation can be arranged on a homestay basis, in a student residence or in a shared house. You can book your own room or you can book a twin room to share with a friend.

Self-catering

This means you have access to the kitchen and you can prepare your own meals.

Bed and Breakfast

This option includes breakfast only. Breakfast is usually a continental breakfast: cereal, toast or bread, butter, marmalade and tea or coffee.

Half board

This option includes breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is usually a continental breakfast: cereal, toast or bread, butter, marmalade and tea or coffee. Dinner is usually meat or fish with vegetables followed by tea or coffee.

Full board

This option includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch is usually a packed lunch consisting of sandwiches, fruit, crisps and a drink. Meals are usually eaten with other members of the family. Please inform us if you have any special dietary needs.

  • Standard - Comfortable accommodation of a high standard, located in zones 2-5, within easy access of the city centre
  • Superior - Sophisticated accommodation in zones 2-5, decorated to a high standard, in prime areas of London
  • Private bathroom + £40 per week
Meal plans
  • Bed & Breakfast - Includes continental breakfast. Light kitchen use (microwave/toaster) is sometimes available
  • Half Board - Includes continental breakfast and evening meal
  • Self-Catering - No meals are provided. Includes full use of the kitchen
  • Vegetarian diets, + £15 per person per week. Other special diets, + £30 per person per week
Laundry

Laundry will be done by the host once a week. If you need to clean your laundry more often the host may allow you to use their washing machine.

Cleaning and Tidiness
  • Your room - You are expected to keep your bedroom tidy and organised during your stay. This includes making your bed, keeping clothes and belongings off the floor, and disposing of rubbish properly.
  • Cleaning Access - Your host may need access to your room from time to time to carry out general cleaning, such as vacuuming, dusting, or changing bed linen. This is to help ensure your room remains hygienic and comfortable. You will be given reasonable notice before any cleaning takes place.
  • Shared Spaces - Please do your part to keep shared areas (e.g. bathroom, kitchen, lounge) clean and tidy after use. Always clean up after yourself and be considerate of others using the space.
Remember, communication is key. If you have any questions about cleaning routines or expectations, please speak with your host family.

Accommodation Requirements

The parents or legal guardians of any learner under the age of 18 (hereinafter referred to as the “Student”) agree to secure appropriate accommodation for the Student in London for the full duration of their studies. This accommodation must be arranged and confirmed prior to the Student’s arrival in London. The accommodation shall meet the standards required by the British Council and be located within a reasonable distance from the place of study.The parents or legal guardians of any learner under the age of 18 (hereinafter referred to as the “Student”) agree to secure appropriate accommodation for the Student in London for the full duration of their studies. In Loco Parentis Consent

The parents or legal guardians of the Student must expressly consent to the host family or designated guardianship arrangement for the Student’s accommodation acting in loco parentis for the duration of the Student’s stay. The parents or legal guardians acknowledge that the host family or designated guardians will take on the responsibilities of care and supervision, including but not limited to ensuring the Student’s safety, well-being, and adherence to rules and regulations set forth by GG College, as well as providing necessary support throughout the Student’s studies in London.
This consent shall remain in effect for the entirety of the Student’s English course and until the Student reaches the age of 18 or until any changes in accommodation arrangements are formally notified by the parents or guardians
